Milford Police arrested Scott C. Stapleford 47yo of Lincoln after responding to a report of a fight in progress in the parking lot complex of the Delaware Fitness Center and Pelican Bar located in the 200 block of NE Front Street on Sunday, November 18 at approximately 9:20pm.

According to police, Stapleford was tasered after police gave verbal commands in which he refused to comply with. Upon further investigation, police state that Stapleford was involved in a verbal and physical altercation with another male subject that had stemmed from the same male subject throwing another male subject through a glass window of the Delaware Fitness Center.

The investigation also stated that all subjects had exited the Pelican Bar just before the altercation took place outside in the parking lot. Both male subject received medical treatment for injuries they sustained during the altercation and were later released. Stapleford was not injured. Stapleford was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Mischief and Resisting Arrest. Stapleford was arraigned through JP7 and was released on $1000 unsecured bond. This incident is still under investigation.
