Pet Photos Help Local Charities

Milford businesses Little Posies Photography and Fur-Baby Boutique kicked off the holiday season on Friday and Saturday with their charitable holiday pet photos.  The proceeds were donated to two charitable causes, the Georgetown SPCA and local five year old Cocker Spaniel Jakey Martin who is currently experiencing kidney failure. The Delaware SPCA is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to the elimination of animal cruelty, neglect and overpopulation by providing services for people and their companion animals since 1873. The Martin family was helped as donations went to cover some of Jakey’s medical costs which are estimated to be $1,294.

“I just want to extend the most sincere thank to Jenn and Sherry for hosting this event and for helping ease some of the financial stress of Jakey’s medical bills for my family,” commented Jakey’s mother Jessie Mae. ” My heart is truly overwhelmed with gratitude, this is an experience that will stick with me forever.”
