The People’s Place 13th annual Choral Breakfast will kick off People’s Day on Saturday, December 8 from 8 to 11am. Admission is $7 for adults, $3 for children 3-12 and children under 3 are free. The all-you-can-eat breakfast at the Milford Senior Center will host musical performances, holiday vendors, a poinsettia sale and a special visit from Santa from 9 to 10 am. Musical performances this year include the Milford High School Chorus, Milford Community Band, Dulcena Kemmerlin of the Miss Delaware Pageant, Miss New Castle County Stephanie Bailey and Miss Delaware’s Outstanding Teen 2012 Morgan Burris.

“People’s Day is a great community celebration of the holiday season and we are looking forward to all of the activities this year,” commented Tori Calvert, Manager of Communications for People’s Place Inc. “The musical performances at the People’s Place Choral Breakfast will create an exciting atmosphere to kick off the day.”

People’s Day is an annual event held throughout Milford to celebrate services to people in the community and encourage individuals to explore what the town has to offer. Participating in this year’s event will be the Milford Public Library, Milford Senior Center, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Milford, Milford Museum, Milford Skating Center, Riverfront Theatre, Diamond Dance Company and downtown merchants.

Events include a Christmas Tree Extravaganza, Holiday Bazaar and Book Sale at the Milford Public Library; a Santa Shop, Poinsettia Sale, Holiday Crafts Kids Can Make and Refreshments Sale at the Boys and Girls Club; Christmas Exhibit and other information and festive exhibits at the Milford Museum;  performances of “Willy Wonka” at the Riverfront Theater all weekend ; performances of “The Nutcracker” by the Diamond Dance Company at the Milford High School; and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Downtown Santa’s House .

“We are so happy to continue the tradition of People’s Day and look forward to seeing new and familiar faces at the Choral Breakfast Saturday morning,” commented Ms. Calvert. “We encourage long-time residents of Milford, new members to the community and visitors to join our celebration.”
