Chamber To Host Business Forum

The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford (CCGM) held a Community Forum two years ago and included in the five-year plan, developed by former President Fred Rohm, was the expectation for the chamber to hold a Business Forum as well. President of the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford Mike Kazala, along with the Executive Board and Board of Directors, voted unanimously to hold the forum this year as the Greater Milford Area continues to grow.

The purpose of the Business Forum is to identify critical opportunities to improve the business atmosphere in the Greater Milford Area. The Chamber is seeking the help of key business people in the community to determine what they believe to be the most important issue in the Greater Milford Area when it comes to improving the business climate. The forum is an opportunity for business people to be heard individually and as a group. All business owners and/or key representatives in the Greater Milford Area are invited to the forum whether they are a chamber member or not.

Each participant will have an opportunity to share an issue they feel is worth addressing and once everyone has had a turn to participant, each individual will vote on what the most important issues are. The top ten issues will be tallied, announced and shared with the general public. The CCGM Board of Directors will then meet review the issues and decide how the top ten will be addressed.

The Business Forum is being hosted by the Milford Senior Center in the Crystal Ballroom, Tuesday February 19th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided by the Milford Senior Center and the chamber.
