Milford Art Stroll

MAS map 3 LO RESBy Anne Jenkins

Daffodils are peeking out heralding Ma Nature’s annual spectacular art exhibit: spring is in the air. And news to brighten all of Milford – 2 new arts related businesses are on the horizon: Nancy Chirdon Forster  is opening “Verde,” a cooking school, on SW Front Street and Scott and Gail Angelucci  are preparing to launch “The River Arts Center for Traditional and Modern Craft” in the old fire hall on SW Front Street. They will offer studio spaces, teaching opportunities in boatbuilding, luthery (guitar making), furniture making, marquetry, turning, pottery, printmaking, stained and fused glass, video and short films, textiles and sculpture. Welcome to the Milford Art Stroll.

And we know everyone loves a secret, so … I’ll let you to one… Grab a pencil and mark your calendars for the evening of Friday, 3 May for an exciting and very elegant new arts event being planned downtown. You will be entranced. So now, the secret is out but not the details – watch the press and face book for more…

The last of DMI’s Milford’s Magic Mondays Series on 18 March features master magician, Rich Bloch, owner of the Dickens Parlour Theatre.  Don’t miss out on fun for the whole family! For info and online ticket purchase visithttp://downtownmilford.org
