Representatives Honor Houston Fire Company


State Reps. Jack Peterman (left) and Bobby Outten (right) recently presented a House of Representatives’ Tribute to Robert Yerkes (center) in honor of his 45 years of service to the people of Kent and Sussex counties as a member of the Houston Volunteer Fire Company. The lawmakers also sponsored and presented House Tributes to two other members of the company. Carroll B. Jester was celebrated for his 40 years of service, while Duane E. Yerkes was recognized for his distinction as the Houston Volunteer Fire Company “Fireman of the Year.” The awards were presented as part of Appreciation Night festivities that were held at the company’s facilities on March 23rd.
