On April 12, 2014, the Milford Police Department Patrol Division responded to reports of an injury accident that occurred at approximately 5: 40 p.m. in the Intersection of Rt. 113 and Rt. 14 (Milford Harrington Hwy). Police report that a 2007 Chevy Impala operated by Lakota Norwood (19) of Bridgeville failed to stop at the red light while she was traveling south bound on Rt. 113. Norwood struck a 2013 Chevy Silverado operated by a 61 year old Milton man, then struck a 2011 Honda Pilot Operated by a 44 year old Milford woman and her 2 children. Debris from the pickup truck struck a fourth vehicle operated by a 54 year old Harrington man. Injured motorist and occupants were taken to Milford Memorial Hospital where all were treated and released with non life-threatening injuries. Norwood was charged with failure to stop at a red light and Failure to have insurance identification in possession. The intersection was closed and traffic was rerouted for approximately 45 min.
