On Monday, May 20 the Milford Police Criminal Division charged a 40yo man, of Scranton, Pennsylvania in connection with an assault the occurred in the parking lot of Park Place Bar on Saturday, May 4 at approximately 1 am. According to police, William C. Kittrell turned himself in to detectives on Monday, May 20 after detectives identified Kittrell and obtained a warrant for his arrest. Detectives state that Kittrell was a patron at Park Place Bar and had exited the bar at closing time.

According to police, an off duty police officer was in the parking lot of the bar and identified himself in an attempt to disperse a few disorderly individuals. Police state that Kittrell approached the officer and although he was advised by other individuals that it was an off duty officer that he approached, Kittrell still yelled profanities and then struck (punched) the officer from behind (in the head). Police say the off duty officer received minor injury (to the head area) but did not require medical treatment. Kittrell was charged with Assault 3rd Degree of Law Enforcement Officer & Disorderly Conduct. Kittrell was arraigned through JP2 and was released on $1,100 unsecured bond.
