On May 24 both Fowler and Burton were additionally charged in connection with a separate burglary that occurred at a residence in the 100 block of NW Front St on 4/29/13. Both were charged with Burglary 2nd Degree, Felony Theft Over 1500, Criminal Mischief Tampering with Utilities, Conspiracy 2nd degree and Theft by False Pretense under $1500. According to police, both Burton and Fowler broke into this residence and removed copper piping and other items from the residence. While inside the residence both did damage to the interior of every room in the home including flooding the basement with fuel. Assistance with the fuel spill was provided by The Carlisle Fire Department and The Department of Natural Resources which required a section of the street to be closed for a short period of time. Burton and Fowler later sold some of the stolen items to a local business for cash. The items were later recovered by Detectives. Both Burton and Fowler were committed to SCI on the below mentioned bond.

 

On Monday, May 24 the Milford Police Department arrested Duran Fowler (20) of Milford and Peter Burton (20) also of Milford. Police state that patrol units responded to the area of the 100 Block of Montgomery St. for a report of a theft that had just occurred from a nearby residence. According to police, the two suspects were gone upon units arrival however were located a few minutes later trying to sell the copper that had been taken. Police linked Fowler and Burton to another case of Copper theft that had occurred recently. Both men were charged with 2 Counts of Burglary 2nd degree, 2 counts of Conspiracy 2nd degree, 2 counts of Criminal Mischief under $1500, 1 count of Theft under $1500, and 1 count of Theft Over $1500, Fowler was charged with an additional charge of Theft by False Pretense. Fowler was committed to Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of $17,000 secured bond. Burton was committed to Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of $18,500.
