Woman Charged With Falsely Reporting an Incident

D. BennettOn Sunday, May 25 Milford Police responded to Milford Bayhealth Hospital to make contact with a female that Felton Police Department had in custody following a domestic dispute in Felton. Police state that this female was at Milford Bayhealth Hospital for an examination stemming from that incident in Felton. Dana E. Bennett aka Dana E. Bratten, 26yo, of Milford, advised Milford Police that she was a victim of a physical domestic dispute that had occurred in Milford and named a suspect. According to police, investigation revealed that no physical domestic dispute occurred in Milford and that the entire dispute occurred in Felton and that Bennett was not the victim but that she was the aggressor. In addition to being charged by Felton Police Departmet in the incident that occurred there, Bennett was charged by Milford Police with one count of Falsely Reporting an Incident. Bennett was arraigned and committed to Women’s Correctional Institution in default of $500 secured bond with an additional secured bond from Felton Police Department’s charges.
