Amber Andrews, 2010 Milford High School (MHS) graduate, continues to excel in softball and college. Andrews played short stop and second base for four years at MHS and was on the team that won the state championship in 2009.

Andrews received a softball scholarship from University of Hartford in Connecticut. She has started and played in every game for the Hawks for the last three years. In her sophomore year she ended the season with a .267 batting average with an on base average of .369. She lead the team in runs scored, 30 and stolen 11 bases. She started and played all 53 games. Off the field she earned a 3.72 GPA in her major of early childhood education. In 2012 she was named to the American East Conference All Academic Team.

Andrews ended the 2013 year with a .224 batting average, with an on base average of .355. She led the team again with 30 runs scored and 11 stolen bases. She started and played all 55 games. For a second time, Andrews has been named to the American East Conference All Academic Team.
