**ALERT** Flooding Closes Prime Hook Road

In conjunction with the Sussex County Emergency Operations Center, the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces that Prime Hook Road in Sussex County is closed due to flooding conditions.

DelDOT is providing residents of Prime Hook Road access to their homes beginning at 5:00 p.m. this evening. Access to Prime Hook Road through the Back Bay Cove Development will be closed to residents at 8:00 p.m. this evening and will remain closed through the duration of the coastal weather system affecting our region. DelDOT is asking residents for their cooperation, as this is a serious weather situation and is not to be taken lightly.

Broadkill Road, State Route 16, is also subject to flooding, and residents are urged to make plans accordingly, including evacuation.
