Burglary and Strangulation

ForakerOn October 28, 2013 officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested John J. Foraker, 47 of Milford, following an investigation into a burglary / strangulation incident. According to the victim and a witness, shortly before 6 am, Mr. Foraker knocked on the victim’s door and yelled “State Police”. The victim answered the door, at which time Mr. Foraker forced his way into the residence. At that time, Mr. Foraker attempted to choke the victim, but a witness arrived and interrupted the incident. Mr. Foraker fled the residence and was later picked up by officers in the 200 block of Northwest Front Street in Milford. Mr. Foraker was arraigned at JP Court #2 in Lewes, where bond was set at $23,000.00 secured. Mr. Foraker has been committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution and is scheduled for a Preliminary Hearing at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on 11.01.2013.
