On December 8, 2013, the Milford Police arrested and charged a 32yo Smyrna woman in connection with an incident that occurred on September 23, 2013 at a residence located in the 600 block of Lakelawn Drive. Kay M. Oberly was charged with Assault 3rd Degree, Criminal Trespass 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief Under $1000 and Disorderly Conduct. Police state that investigation revealed that Oberly had returned to the residence to pick up her belongings. Once there, Oberly became irate inside the residence and was asked to leave. Oberly refused to leave the residence and continued being irate and disorderly confronted the 26yo female victim. According to police, once outside the residence, Oberly approached the door to the residence where the 26yo female victim was standing and then punched the glass pane in the door. This caused glass and debris to shatter and strike the female victim causing minor injury. Oberly then re-entered the residence to confront the female victim again but then fled the scene once another resident contacted the Milford Police. The female victim did not receive medical treatment for her injuries. Oberly was arraigned and committed to WCI in default of $2200 secured bond.
