On December 4, 2013, the Milford Police arrested and charged a 21yo Harrington man in connection with an incident that occurred on June 27, 2013 at the Walmart Department Store. According to police, Daniel C. Lilly was taken into custody following a traffic stop for a traffic violation by Delaware State Police when it was discovered that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of the Milford Police Department. Lilly was charged with Conspiracy 2nd Degree and Theft by False Pretense Under $1500. Police state that investigation revealed that Lilly and a co-conspirator entered Walmart Department Store together on 6/27/13. Both then walked throughout the store into various departments and removed merchandise, concealed the merchandise, then exit the store without paying for the merchandise. Both later re-enter the store and return the merchandise to the store and obtain gift cards. Both then do the same process again and obtain a gift card again. Lilly was arraigned and committed to SCI in default of $1500 secured bond.
