The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning that will affect the area Thursday evening through Friday morning with snow. Cold temperatures and stron winds, along with blowing and drifting snow is expected, along with dangerous wind chill factors.

The Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 6pm to 1pm. Accumulations of 2 to 4 inches “with lesser amounts in the far South and near the coast.” Precipitation is expected to start as rain last this afternoon before changing to snow late this evening. The bulk of the snow is expected overnight into Friday morning.
