Parks & Recreation Winter Programs

bballWinter program registration is ongoing at the Milford Parks and Recreation Building, located at 207 Franklin Street, during office hours until programs meet maximum registration. Individuals can also register online at http://webtrac.milford -de.gov, or call 302-422-1104 for additional information. The 2014 Milford Parks and Recreation Winter program includes:

Indoor Soccer – All boys and girls currently in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades are invited to register for the youth indoor soccer program. This program is designed for players to receive touches of the ball through small-sided games. Games will be played on Sundays at the Milford Boys & Girls Club gym starting in January. The fee is $40.

Indoor Youth Swim Lessons – Swimming lessons will be held in the indoor swimming pool at the Greater Milford Boys and Girls Club off Airport Road in Milford. The cost is $40. Taught by Milford Parks & Recreation Red Cross Certified staff. For all sessions, class times are as follows: 3-4 years old 1-1:30 p.m. 5 & up 1:30-2 p.m. Winter Session I: Jan. 8-24 (W & F). Winter Session II: Feb. 11 – 27 (T & Th)

Gymnastics and Tumbling – Boys and girls ages 3 to 10 can participate in this Saturday morning program which begins on January 4 at Banneker Gym and runs for 6 weeks through February 8. This program will work on strength, balance and coordination. Classes times are 10-10:45 am for 3-5 year olds and 10:45-11:30 am for 6-10 year olds. The cost is $40.

Adult Volleyball Program – Register now for this program that begins on Tuesday, January 7, 2014.  All participants aged 20 or over are welcome to register for this program that will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6-8pm for 8 weeks at Banneker Gymnasium. The cost is only $40 !
