Landon Wins MMS Spelling Bee

The 2011 Milford Middle School 6th and 7th grade Spelling Bees were held last week. The sixth grade contestant winners were Claire Landon, first place; Alexis Peterson, second place; and Robert Knutsen, third place. The seventh grade contestant winners were Sam Sweeney, first place; Kristen Whitehead, second place; and Abby Cortez, third place. Once these bees were finished, Claire Landon and Sam Sweeney competed to have a final winner. The MMS School Spelling Bee Winner was sixth grader, Claire Landon. She will go on to compete in the State Bee at St. Mark’s High School in Wilmington, Delaware on Saturday, March 5th.
