Wanted Suspect In Motorcycle Crash

The Milford Police Department responded to a motorcycle crash at South Rehoboth Blvd at Evans Street. Police state that the investigation revealed that on April 22, 2014 at approximately at 2:58pm Alan Long, 61 of Camden was operating his 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on S Rehoboth Boulevard approaching Evans Street. A silver pickup operated by a male was in the left turn lane on S Rehoboth Blvd to make a left turn onto East St. Police state that as Long approached the intersection the silver truck turned in front of Long.  Mr. long applied his brakes to avoid a collision and ended up laying the bike down and sliding approximately 25 yards on S Rehoboth Blvd. Mr. Long was transported to Milford Bayhealth Emergency Room with a led injury. The driver of the silver truck continued on Evans St. According to police, Mr. Long’s injuries appear to be non-life threatening however no further information is available regarding his condition. The investigation is containing and anyone with information or who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Patrolman Jon Collins at the Milford Police Department at 422-8081.
