Forgery Investigation

2On June 3,2014 officers the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to Rite Aid on Northeast Front Street to a report of a subject attempting to have a fraudulent prescription filled.Police state that investigation revealed Jennifer Freeman, 25 years of age, of Philadelphia, PA was attempting to have a fraudulent prescription filled. Pharmacy staff refused to fill the prescription and notified Milford Police. Officers arrived and made contact with Ms. Freeman, at which time she provided officers with a false name. According to police, subsequent search also found Mr. Freeman to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Police have obtained information that another individual was involved with this information and are continuing to investigate further. Ms. Freeman was arraigned at JP Court #2, where bail was set at $6000 secured. Ms. Freeman was committed to Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution after failing to post bail. Ms. Freeman is scheduled to appear on June 6th in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas for a Preliminary Hearing.
