Possession of Shoplifters Tools, Conspiracy 3rd Degree

2On June 26, 2014 officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested Melanie A. Evans, 35 of Milford, DE after warrants were obtained following an investigation into incidents of shoplifting earlier this month at Walmart. Police state that investigation revealed Ms. Evans entered Walmart on several occasions between June 10 and June 14 and removed several items without paying for them. Ms. Evans was accompanied by children during several of these visits. Ms. Evans was presented at JP Court #2, where bail was set at $8000.00 secured. Ms. Evans was committed to Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution and is scheduled for a Preliminary Hearing at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on July 11th.
