4On August 1, 2014 the Milford Police arrested and charged a 32yo Milford man stemming from a domestic incident that occurred on July 6, 2014. Daniel W. Eckstorm was charged with Strangulation and Assault 3rd Degree. Police state that investigation revealed that Eckstorm was involved in a domestic dispute with the 31yo female victim while traveling in a vehicle on STR1 in the area of Silicato Parkway. The female victim was operating the vehicle and Eckstorm was the front seat passenger when the dispute began. Eckstorm pulled the female victim’s hair, struck her in the face numerous times and pushed her up against the driver’s side window. The female victim was able to bring the vehicle to a stop and flee from the vehicle. According to police, Eckstorm chased the female victim catching her and grabbed her around the neck and began strangling her. The female victim was finally able to break free from Eckstorm and contact the Milford Police. Eckstorm fled the area prior to police arrival. The female victim suffered minor injuries to the face, neck and chest area. Upon taking Eckstorm into custody on August 1, 2014, Eckstorm was in possession of a marijuana pipe and was wanted out of numerous courts. Eckstorm was arraigned and committed to SCI in default of $10,437.49 secured bond.
