dspDelaware State Troopers are investigating an armed robbery of the Valero gas station, located at 1885 Bay Road, which occurred last evening.

The incident happened around 9:40 p.m. Tuesday September 2, 2014, when a male suspect, armed with an unknown type of handgun, entered the store. He approached the 50-year-old female employee and demanded cash. The clerk complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of currency before the suspect fled the store in an unknown direction. The female employee was uninjured in this incident.

The suspect was described as a white male, 5’10” tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, khaki shorts, white shoes with black socks, and a mask partially covering his face.
