3On October 1, 2014 the Milford Police Criminal Division arrested and charged one adult male, two 17yo male juveniles, one 16yo male juvenile and one 17yo female juvenile in connection with multiple robberies and thefts from various locations. The Milford Police took one 17yo male juvenile into custody on the morning of October 1, 2014. That afternoon the Milford Police received information that the remaining juvenile suspects and adult suspect, later identified as John G. Harmon Jr., 18yo of Milford, were at a residence in the 200 block of S. Washington St. According to police, upon arrival the Milford Police took the female juvenile, the 17yo male juvenile and Harmon into custody without incident as the 16yo male juvenile stayed in the residence and refused to exit for approximately 2 hours. The Milford Police shut down the roadway during this time. The Milford Police Special Operations Group (S.O.G) responded to the scene along with the K9 Division. The 16yo male finally exited the residence and was taken into custody by Milford Police. Police state that detectives executed a search warrant on the residence and recovered some stolen merchandise. Harmon and the juveniles were charged in all or some of the following incidents:

On Septemner 22, 2014 the Milford Police investigated a Burglary and Theft that occurred at a residence in the 900 block of SE Front St. Accoeding to police, investigation revealed that the suspect(s) entered the residence and stole property.

On September 25, 2014 the Milford Police Criminal Division investigated an armed robbery at the Valero/ Shore Stop. The suspects entered the store, wearing masks and armed with handguns. The suspects then demanding money from the clerk, obtained the money and then fled on foot.

On September 27, 2014 the Milford Police Criminal Division investigated an armed robbery that occurred at Memorial Park. The suspects were armed with handguns and held the female victim at gunpoint while demanding that the female victim hand over her property. The female victim did so and the suspects fled on foot. Then on September 29, 2014 the suspects used the female victim’s credit card at a local store to purchase merchandise.

On September 30, 2014 the Milford Police investigated an assault that occurred in front of a residence located in the 100 block of SE 3rd St. Milford Police received a report of an assault and then responded to the scene. Milford Police discovered the male victim lying unconscious on the sidewalk. Further investigation revealed that the male victim had been assaulted by a 17yo male juvenile and the juvenile then fled the scene prior to police arrival. The victim was later transported to Milford Bayhealth Hospital and treated for injuries to the head and face.

Harmon was charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony, Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony, Conspiracy 2nd Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Harmon was arraigned and committed to SCI in default of $59,000 cash bond.

One 17yo male juvenile was charged with Robbery 1st Degree (2 counts), Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony (2 counts), Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony (2 counts), Conspiracy 2nd Degree (2 counts) and Tampering with Physical Evidence, Conspiracy 3rd Degree and Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card Under $1500. This male juvenile was arraigned and committed to Stevenson Center on a cash bond (bond amount not available at the time of this release).

The other 17yo male juvenile was charged with Robbery 1st Degree (2 counts), Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony (2 counts), Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony (2 counts), Conspiracy 2nd Degree (2 counts), Tampering with Physical Evidence, Assault 2nd Degree and Disorderly Conduct. This male juvenile was arraigned and committed to Stevenson Center on a cash bond (bond amount not available at the time of this release).

The 16yo male juvenile was charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony, Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Resisting Arrest, Burglary 2nd Degree, Theft Under $1500, Conspiracy 3rd Degree and Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card Under $1500. This male juvenile was arraigned and committed to Stevenson Center on a cash bond (bond amount not available at the time of this release).

The 17yo female juvenile was charged with with Robbery 1st Degree, Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony, Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Conspiracy 3rd Degree and Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card Under $1500. This female juvenile was arraigned and committed to Stevenson Center on a cash bond (bond amount not available at the time of this release).

Additionally, a second 17yo female juvenile was also present at the residence but not involved in the incidents. Police state that this second 17yo female juvenile had active capiases for her arrest and resisted Milford Police as she was being taken into custody. She was charged with resisting arrest and later released on unsecured bond.
