4Theft by False Pretense Under $1500 (2 counts), Receiving Stolen Property Under $1500 (2 counts), Selling Stolen Property Under $1500 (2 counts), Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Offensive Touching, Escape 3rd Degree and Resisting Arrest

On November 13, 2014 the Milford Police arrested and charged 36yo Milford man in connection with 3 separate incidents. Joseph C. Bare was charged with Theft by False Pretense Under $1500 (2 counts), Receiving Stolen Property Under $1500 (2 counts), Selling Stolen Property Under $1500 (2 counts), Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Offensive Touching, Escape 3rd Degree and Resisting Arrest. Milford Police Criminal Division investigated an incident that occurred between June and July of 2014 at the Travelers Inn Motel. Police state that investigation revealed that Bare kicked an 8yo male juvenile while in the presence of a 7yo female juvenile. The juveniles did not suffer any injuries in the incident. Bare attempted to elude capture since this incident after detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest. Milford Police investigated incidents occurring on 10/7/14 involving Bare possessing multiple stolen vehicles and then selling the motor vehicles to a local scrap yard for money. According to police, on November 13, 2014 while in Milford Police custody for the aforementioned incidents, Bare fled on foot as the officer was placing Bare in the patrol vehicle for transport to SCI. Bare was tasered by the officer after a brief foot pursuit and struggle. Bare was arraigned and committed to SCI in default of $7000.00 cash bond.

 

Inciting a Riot, Resisting Arrest

On November 11, 2014 at approx 12:50 am, the Milford Police responded to People’s Place Non-Secured Facility after receiving a report of juvenile residents being disorderly. Upon arriving, Milford Police discovered that the juveniles had ransacked the facility. Juveniles refused to obey commands and continued to be disorderly. There were 8 juveniles taken into custody by the Milford Police, three 15year olds, three 14 year olds and two 16 year olds. The juveniles were charged with Inciting a Riot and Resisting Arrest. They were all arraigned and committed to The Stevenson Center on secured bonds.

 

5Breach of Release (Violation of a No Contact Order) and Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree

On November 10, 2014 the Milford Police Criminal Division arrested and charged a 20yo Bridgeville man stemming from an incident that occurred on October 31, 2014 at Silver Lake Apartments. Sawndale Auguste was charged with Breach of Release (Violation of a No Contact Order) and Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree. Police state that investigation revealed that Auguste had been involved in a domestic related incident at Silver Lake Apartments on the night of October 31, 2014. Auguste had already been banned from the apartment complex and issued a no contact order stemming from prior domestic incidents on the property. After being arraigned at JP3, Auguste became disorderly and refused to comply with detectives and attempted to physically resist from being transported to SCI. Detectives and JP3 Bailiff were able to secure Auguste for transport. August was transported and committed to SCI in default of $1500 secured bond.

 

7Forgery 2nd Degree (7 counts) and Theft Under $1500 (7 counts)

On November 8, 2014 the Milford Police arrested and charged a 44yo Harrington woman in connection with multiple incidents that occurred at a business located in the 6000 block of S. Rehoboth Blvd between October 6, 2014 and November 3, 2014. Lisa M. Kellam aka Lisa M. Melvin was charged with Forgery 2nd Degree (7 counts) and Theft Under $1500 (7 counts). Police state that investigation revealed that Kellam was an account manager for the business and wrote numerous business checks out to herself and cashed them without permission. Kellam was arraigned and released on $7000 unsecured bond.

 

Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct

6On November 8, 2014 the Milford Police arrested and charged a 26yo Camden- Wyoming woman stemming from an incident that occurred at a residence located at Silver Lake Apartments. Katie Klein was charged with Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct. Milford Police responded after receiving a report of a disorderly person inside of the apartment. Police state that as officers attempted to make contact with the Klein at the apartment she refused to open the door. Klein then turned music up inside the apartment extremely loud. Klein finally opened the door for officers only to become irate and begin using profanity towards officers. According to police, Klein appeared to be intoxicated and refused to comply with officers orders. It was also discovered that Klein was wanted on an active capias out of JP6 also. After a brief struggle with Klein, officers took Klein into custody. Klein was arraigned and committed to WCI on $750.00 secured bond.
