Shoplifting Under $1500 and Theft by False Pretense Under $1500

On December 18, 2014 the Milford Police took custody of a wanted man apprehended by Sussex County Probation and Parole (Seaford Office). Bruce “Eric” Whitman, 25 yo of Lincoln was arrested and charged with Shoplifting Under $1500 and Theft by False Pretense Under $1500. The Milford Police state that they obtained an arrest warrant for Whitman after investigation revealed that Whitman entered Walmart Department Store on November 6, 2014, removed merchandise without paying for it and then returned the items as if they had been purchased. Whitman received a monetary compensation upon returning the items. Whitman was arraigned and released on $500 unsecured bond.
