5New Year’s Eve is a great tradition for friends and family to get together.  It gives us a chance to formally say goodbye to last year and welcome the next year with open arms. It also creates an opportunity for us to improve and motivate ourselves by making resolutions for the New Year. If you plan on staying local this New Year’s Eve, Park Place Restaurant & Lounge and Abbott’s Grill are celebrating 2014 and welcoming 2015 on Wednesday, December 31.

Park Place Restaurant & Lounge is hosting the 2015 Break Out That Dress New Year’s Eve Party on Wednesday, December 31. Women are encouraged to wear “prom, bridesmaid, wedding or other dresses you thought you’d never wear.” Guys are asked to “dress to impress.” Entertainment will be provided by DJ SPIG1 with hats, Noise Makers and a Champagne Toast at Midnight.
“Our New Year’s Eve parties have been a lot of fun due the enthusiasm the crowd shares with our staff by going all out in the themes we do,” commented Chris Fitzgerald, owner of Park Place Restaurant & Lounge. “I’m looking forward to a healthy and prosperous 2015 for all.” Chris shared that his personal resolution for next year is to spend more time with family.
Tickets for the NYE event are available now. $10 in advance & $20 at the door. For more information, individuals are encouraged to visit www.parkplacemilford.com or call 302-422-2112. Park Place Restaurant & Lounge will be celebrating 26 years in business in downtown Milford this upcoming year. Open seven days a week, the restaurant features casual dining on the Mispillion River and nightly entertainment.

Abbott’s Grill, located on 249 NE Front Street in Milford, will be hosting a New Year’s Eve event on December 31. The Grill is open for dinner beginning at 5pm as patrons are encouraged to chose their favorites from the dinner menu and special dishes from chefs featured that evening. Guests that come in for dinner will pay no cover for the Party, which has a “Dress To Impress, Black & Gold Theme.” The Party will feature DJ B-Czar and Conjunction Function, a live Funk Band, from 9 pm to 1 am.  There will be dancing with DJ B-Czar in a private room and on the fully heated tented patio as well. A champagne Toast and Favors will be given out at Midnight and a complimentary “After the Ball” Breakfast will be served.

The food and atmosphere at Abbott’s Grill has been a popular experience in Milford since they opened in 2009.  Offering a formal dining area, Abbott’s also features a pub that has live entertainment throughout the week for patrons to enjoy.  The relaxed atmosphere allows customers of all ages to wind down after work or a long week. The private dining room and outside patio area are a great place to hold meetings or just have fun with a few friends. There are always daily specials and events going on at The Grill no matter which night of the week it is. To find out more about Abbott’s Grill’s fine dining, pub and events, individuals are encouraged to visit http://www.abbottsgrillde.com/.
