Multiple Burglaries at Convenience Store

On March 9, 2015 at the conclusion of a joint investigation with the Delaware State Police Criminal Investigation Unit, the Milford Police Criminal Division arrested and charged a 31yo Bridgeville man stemming from two burglaries that occurred at Shore Stop convenience store located on Bay Rd on 1/18/15 and then again on 1/20/15. Joshua C. Hillard was charged with Burglary 3rd Degree (2 counts), Possession of Burglar Tools (2 counts), Theft Under $1,500.00 (2 counts) and Criminal Mischief Over $1,000.00. Police state that detectives discovered that Hillard broke into the store on both occasions after hours and removed merchandise from the store. Hillard was also arrested on additional charges by the Delaware State Police. Hillard was arraigned and committed to SCI in default of $15,000.00 secured bond.
