Juveniles Charged with Busting out 30 windshields

On March 23, 2015 the Milford Police Criminal Division arrested and charged a three 14yo male juveniles and a 16yo male juvenile (all of Milford) stemming from multiple incidents that occurred fromMarch 13 thru March 23 throughout the city. They were charged with 29 counts of Criminal Mischief Under $1000, 3 counts of Attempted Criminal Mischief Under $1000, 7 counts of Conspiracy 3rd Degree and one count of Resisting Arrest. Police state that investigation revealed that from March 13 thru March 23 all four juveniles were walking throughout the city limits breaking out vehicles’ front windshields. The juveniles damaged or attempted to damage more than 30 different vehicles during that span. Detectives discovered that the juveniles would jump onto the hood of the vehicles and stomp on the front windshield until it busted out. On the night of March 23, it was reported to the Milford Police that a group of juveniles had just busted out a vehicle windshield and fled on foot. The Milford Police Patrol and K-9 Division responded to the area and located the juveniles. After a brief foot pursuit, all four juveniles were taken into custody. It was later discovered that the juveniles had damaged 15 vehicle windshields just onMarch 23 alone. All four juveniles were later released on secured bond to the custody of their parents. This case is still under investigation with additional charges pending.
