National Radiologic and Imaging Nurses Day

Bayhealth celebrates National Radiologic and Imaging Nurses Day, recognizing our nurses caring for patients receiving diagnostic imaging services. Bayhealth’s radiologic nurses play an important role in the daily patient experience. In addition to providing standard nursing functions such as monitoring vital signs, radiology nurses are trained to prepare patients for specific procedures, administer intravenous contrast solutions, and assist with anesthesia. Radiological nurses must have a working knowledge of radiation safety, and they also work to reduce the risk of patient infection.
