Screen Shot 2015-04-09 at 2.08.27 PMThe Department of Transportation’s (DelDOT) contractor Eastern Highway Specialists will be closing the Route 113 Northbound Overpass in Milford between Frontage Road and Route 1 northbound to rehabilitate the bridge deck.  The closure will begin at 6 a.m. on Sunday, May 3.  The overpass will reopen by midnight on Thursday, May 21. At all times, all businesses on Route 113/North DuPont Boulevard will remain OPEN during the closure of the Route 113 Northbound Overpass.

On Friday, April 24 from 9 am until 4 pm, Route 1 northbound will have lane closures for the installation of the bridge shielding. On Monday, April 27 from 7 am until 5 pm, Route 1 southbound will have lane closures for the installation of the bridge shielding.

Detour Routes

For the safety of motorists, the Route 14/Northeast Front Street/New Wharf Road crossover will be closed for this project only in order to safely mitigate detoured traffic. Motorists will take Route 36/Cedar Beach Road to Rehoboth Boulevard and return to Route 14/Northeast Front Street.  Upon completion of this project, the crossover will be reopened.

 

Heading north on Route 1 from south of Milford

No detour

No left turn onto Northeast Front Street.

 

Heading north on Route 113 to Route 1 from south of Lincoln

Turn right onto Johnson Road; turn left onto Wilkins Road; and turn right onto Access Ramp to Route 1.

 

 

Heading north on Route 113 to Route 1 from south of Milford

Turn right onto Northwest Front Street; turn right onto Rehoboth Boulevard; turn left onto Route 36/Cedar Beach Road; and turn left onto the ramp to Route 1 northbound.

 

Heading north on Walnut Street to Route 1

Motorists will make a U-turn and turn left onto Northeast Front Street and continue onto Route 36/Cedar Beach Road and turn left onto the ramp to Route 1 northbound.

 

Heading north on Rehoboth Avenue to Route 1

Motorists will make a U-turn; and turn left onto Route 36/Cedar Beach Road; and turn left onto the ramp to Route 1 northbound.

 

Heading east on Route 14/Milford Harrington Highway to Route 1 Northbound

Continue onto Northwest Front Street; turn  right onto Rehoboth Boulevard; turn left onto Route 36/Cedar Beach Road and turn left onto the ramp to Route 1 northbound.

 

 

 

Truck Routes:

Heading north on Route 113 to Route 1 from south of Lincoln

Detour signage will be posted for motorists.
