Selling Stolen Property Online

On June 9, 2015 the Milford Police arrested and charged a 53yo Milford woman in connection with selling stolen items online during the month of May 2015. Debra L. Hughes was charged with Theft By False Pretense Under $1500 (2 counts), Selling Stolen Property (2 counts) and Receiving Stolen Property (2 counts). police state that investigation that Hughes would receive stolen property and then sell the property online to unsuspecting buyers and ship the property to them. Hughes would receive payment in the form of checks from the buyers and then cashed the checks at a local check cashing business. Hughes was arraigned and released on $3,000.00 unsecured bond.
