Domestic Assault at Apartment Complex

On July 7, 2015 the Milford Police arrested and charged a 60yo Milford woman in connection with a domestic assault that occurred at a residence at Brightway Commons Apartment Complex. Rose L. Deshields (aka Rosa L. Person) was charged with Aggravated Menacing, Assault 3rd Degree, Terroristic Threatening, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Criminal Mischief. Police state that investigation revealed that Deshields and the 23yo female victim were involved in a verbal dispute. During the dispute Deshields began punching the female victim in the head several times. As witnesses intervened and tried to separate the two, Deshields grabbed a 12 inch Oscillating desk fan and began hitting the female victim with it. The female victim was able to flee from Deshields into another room in the residence, Deshields told the female victim that she was going to kill her. A one year old child was present in the residence at the time of this incident but was not injured. The female victim suffered minor injuries to her arms and legs but refused medical treatment. Deshields was arraigned and released on $17,550.00 unsecured bond. (No photo available for Deshields)
