Dover Man Arrested, Domestic Assault

On August 20, 2015 the Milford Police arrested and charged a 34yo Dover man stemming from a domestic dispute that occurred on August 15, 2015 at the Travelers Inn Motel. Alexis Jiles was charged with Assault 3rd Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child (3 counts) and Malicious Interference with Emergency Communications. According to police, investigation revealed that Jiles and the 33yo female victim were involved in a verbal dispute over the victim doing Jiles’s hair for him. During the verbal dispute, Jiles grabbed the victim and through her against the bathroom wall. Jiles then began to punch the victim on various parts of her body. The victim then fell to the floor and Jiles slammed the bathroom door against the victim’s body. Jiles then placed a bar of soap inside of a washcloth and began striking the victim with it. As the victim broke free, she attempted to contact the police, however Jiles removed the phone from her possession. Jiles later fled prior to the victim reporting this incident. This incident occurred in the presence of 3 children. The female victim was medically treated for minor injuries sustained during the incident. Jiles was arraigned and released on $2,500.00 unsecured bond. On August 21, 2015 Jiles contacted the female victim again after being court ordered not to on August 20, 2015, stemming from the domestic incident that occurred on August 15, 2015. On August 22, 2015, Jiles was arrested and charged with one count of Breach of Release Failure to Comply with Bail Conditions. Jiles was arraigned and committed to SCI in default of $600.00 secured bond.
