Bayhealth Appoints Shevock to Oncology Leadership

9Bayhealth has announced that John D. Shevock, MSM, FACHE, FACMPE, was promoted to the position of senior director of operations for the oncology service line and executive director of the Bayhealth Cancer Institute.

Since 2004, Shevock has been a part of the growth and the development of the oncology service line at Bayhealth. In his new role, Shevock is responsible for supervising the 60+ employees of Bayhealth’s oncology service line including physicians, nursing staff, radiation therapists, physics, and support staff.

“Working with the physicians and the entire oncology service line staff is one of the biggest joys I have every day,” Shevock said. “I consistently hear feedback from our patients about the professionalism and compassion of every member the cancer center team.”

Shevock is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives. He has been involved in community organizations such as Delaware Technical and Community College Terry Campus’ Development Council; Greater Milford Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce Leadership Central Delaware Program; and Delaware Ducks Unlimited, Kent County Chapter.

Shevock, a Bayhealth employee for more than 11 years, is a resident of Dover along with his wife, Allison, and sons, Samuel and Joel. He is graduate of North Carolina State University, having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and a Master of Science degree in Management.
