The Rose Colored Lasses presents The Spectacular Tastes of Christmas; a wine tasting and culinary event, which will be held on Thursday December 3, at Sunset Cove in Milford, Delaware. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Delaware Hospice Center and the Milford Police Department Toy Drive.

This event features two wine tasting stations. The first station includes Wines by Bernie. He will be presenting a delicious variety of Italian, French and German wines and other libations that are appropriate for any holiday gathering. The second wine tasting station will be presented by The Sposato Family Vineyards, an Argentinean winery in the Mendoza area owned by the Sposato family of Milton, Delaware. This winery has only introduced their wines to the United States a few months ago.

Also featured will be demonstrations by Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn and Bloom Designs. Williams-Sonoma will focus on how to prepare holiday dishes that will impress your guests and are quick and easy to prepare. Pottery Barn will concentrate on how to make your food and table look festive and inviting. Both Williams-Sonoma & Pottery Barn will include items for sale to assist everyone with their own family celebrations and entertaining events this season. Pat Theis from Bloom Designs will feature beautiful Holiday arrangements and wreaths for sale. Pat will also be available to help or advise with any Holiday Decorating questions. The purpose of these fabulous demonstrations is to show how anyone can host a festive holiday gathering without spending hours in the kitchen. In addition to the delicious samples offered during the Williams-Sonoma cooking demonstrations, there will also be a wide variety of hot and cold hors d’oeuvres including a beautiful Anti-Pasta platter from Touch of Italy. Each of these will focus on the festive but easy theme including the recipe for each dish or information about where it can be purchased.

Several businesses have provided generous items to be raffled off at the end of the second tasting. There are fabulous surprises from Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Sposato Family Vineyards, Bloom Designs, Sugar Bee Boutique, and Touch of Italy. The Milford Police Department will also be selling raffle tickets for a Seafood Feast for 10. Santa Claus will be drawing this winning ticket on December 13TH at Sunset Cove.

Two tastings times will be offered. The first is 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm and the second is 5 pm to 7 pm. Each tasting will have a limited number of tickets sold, so individuals are encouraged to purchase their tickets early.Tickets are $40 per person or if event goers bring a new unwrapped toy, valued at $15 or more to be donated to the Milford Police Department’s Toy Drive, the ticket cost will be $30 per person.
