The Capital Ringers Winter Wonderland Tour 2015 will be making a stop in Milford on December 6 at 7pm at Reformation Lutheran Church on Lakeview Ave. The Winter Wonderland Concert Tour will be an exciting performance featuring holiday and winter favorites such as Sleigh Ride, Jingle Bells, Frosty the Snowman and Wizards in Winter.  Santa Claus, himself, will make a special guest appearance.
Delaware’s Capital Ringers is an auditioned community handbell ensemble that rings 6 octaves (73 bells) of Schulmerich handbells, 5.5 octaves (67 chimes) of Malmark hand chimes and 5 octaves (61bells)) of Whitechapel handbells. The group is dedicated to musical excellence with the goal of promoting the art of handbell ringing across the Delmarva Peninsula in their performances and workshops. Most concerts include an interactive opportunity for audience participation in handling and ringing the bells in a song of the season.
The Capital Ringers team was founded in 2004 by Artistic Director Linda Simms, who wanted to provide a unique ringing experience for advanced ringers and to demonstrate the versatility of handbells to local audiences. The Capital Ringers have performed across the peninsula in churches, theaters, and schools. They have collaborated with the Delaware Chorale Society, the Queen Annes’s Chorale, Wilmington Handbell Ensemble and the First State Dance Academy.
The 2015 Concert locations include Milford, Lewes, Seaford ,and Smyrna. Performances in Maryland will be held in Berlin and Centreville. The Ringers will also perform in Lansdale, PA. More information  about the Capital Ringers  and their performance schedule is available on the Capital Ringers’ website at www.capitalringers.org, or by contacting the Artistic Director at 302-632-3106. The Milford performance will also include the Tour’s Silent Auction.
