Troopers Investigating Shooting- Lincoln

44Delaware State Police are currently investigating the shooting of a 24 year old male which occurred late last night.

According to pile, the initial investigation has determined that the incident occurred at approximately 11:02 p.m., as four male suspects entered a residence located in the 21000 block of W. Mayhew Drive, Cedar Creek Estates, Lincoln. It was at this time that a 24 year old male, who was present in the home at the time, was shot in his lower extremity. All four male suspects then fled from the residence after removing undisclosed property from inside. The victim was removed from the scene and transported to the Milford Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released. As this is an on-going and active investigation by Delaware State Police detectives, only limited information is being released at this time. Detectives do not believe that this was a random act, however.
