Milford Police Discredit Threat to MHS

UPDATE – The Milford Police Department has released information stating that they have determined that a social media post causing concerns within the Milford High School community in Delaware originated from another state. The post originated in Marysville, CA “but was shared locally, implying MHS was our Milford High School. We wished to share this release for parents and students to be aware it was not found locally as some people have heard,” stated MPD on their Facebook on Thursday, January 28. “We would like to thank the numerous people who made us aware of this and the one Facebook follower who alerted us to this specific news release.”

Original Post – According to the Milford Police Department (MPD), parents and students will see an increased presence of officers throughout the district today as investigators are looking into a concerning social media post directed at Milford Senior High School. “Although we don’t know it was Milford High in Delaware that this was intended for, we must err on the side of caution and treat it as it was,” MPD posted on their Facebook page.
MilfordLIVE will update our viewers with additional details as they are released.
