Community members in the Milford School District (MSD) have been receiving a message for school officials regarding an incident that occurred on January, Wednesday 27. According to information released by MSD, a Milford Central Academy (MCA) student was approached at the bus stop by an unknown man in a white van. The man asked the student if she needed a ride to school and the MCA student declined. Once at school, the student immediately reported the incident to the School Resource Officer who then contacted the Delaware State Police to assist in an investigation.

Milford school officials ran a report of absent students for the day and attempted to call those household to inquire if they knew where their children were, since they had not reported to school. “Everyone was accounted for and there were no additional incidents,” stated MSD Superintendent Phyllis Kohel. “We are asking parents to alert the Milford Police Department and the Milford School District if they have any information about the incident and encourage families to please have a conversation with their students about situations similar to this one.”
