Sweet, family-friendly event supports school’s International Education program

The 4th annual Delaware Tech Terry Campus Chocolate 5K Run/Walk, a sweet event the whole family can enjoy, is scheduled to take place on campus Saturday, February 13, 2016. The event includes a 5K run on a single loop USATF-certified course, a 5K walk and even a Kiddie K. The Kiddie K starts at 9:50 a.m., followed by the 5K run and walk at 10.

At the conclusion of the competitions, participants and their supporters warm up inside with an awards ceremony and the opportunity to indulge on homemade hot chocolate, freshly prepared chocolate ganache and decadent home-baked chocolate treats, all prepared by the Terry Campus culinary arts program.

On-line registration is open at TriSportsEvents.com at http://www.trisportsevents.com/index.cfm?ref=50200&ref4=2016-02-13. Entry fee is $25 until Feb. 6 ($30 thereafter). Race-day registration opens at 8:30 a.m. Amenities include quality Chocolate 5K tech shirt, chip timing, post-race food and beverage, and awards to overall male and female champions, overall masters winners, and top three in 5-year age groups.

Proceeds support the Terry Campus International Education Study Abroad Scholarship Program.
