The Delaware Tech Terry Campus, working with Delaware’s congressional delegation and the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce, will hold two events in April designed to benefit individuals seeking employment and career information. One is a job skills workshop on April 4. The other is a combined general interest job fair and criminal justice/homeland security career expo on April 7. Both events are open to the public and pre-registration is not required.
U.S. Senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons and U.S. Representative John Carney will serve as hosts for the Delaware Congressional Delegation Job Skills Workshop, scheduled for Monday, April 4, from 9 am to 1 pm in the college’s on-campus conference center.
Created as a one-stop preparation event, the workshop will offer attendees a variety of resources, including sessions on interviewing, dressing for success and resume building. The Department of Labor mobile van will also be on site. For additional information on the job skills workshop, please call (302) 573-6345 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The general interest job fair and criminal justice/homeland security career expo, also being held in the conference center, will be Thursday, April 7, from 11 am to 3 pm. The event will bring together numerous local employers to discuss existing job opportunities within their businesses and organizations, as well as a variety of criminal justice and homeland security agencies that will be able to share information about what they do and career opportunities within their fields. For additional information on the job fair and career expo, individuals are encouraged to call 302-857-1027 or email email@example.com.
