Shipbuilder River Race Highlights Mispillion

On Saturday, April 23 the 13th annual Bug and Bud Festival was kicked off as the popular Shipbuilder River Race continued a new tradition, highlighting the natural beauty of the Mispillion River. There were two races that day including a 3-mile and an 8-mile kayak, double kayak, canoe and paddle board races as both races started together. The courses headed East down the Mispillion River and back, with the finish line located under the pedestrian bridge connecting BiCentennial and Memorial parks.
