Couple Charged with Child Abuse

On April 12, 2016 the Milford Police Criminal Division arrested and charged a Milford couple stemming from incidents that occurred during the month of April at a residence located in the 100 block of West St. Bridget M. Sauls, 56yo, and Ivray L. Sauls Sr, 57yo, were both charged with Child Abuse 2nd Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Police state that investigation revealed that the 5yo and 2yo victims resided in the residence with Sauls and Sauls Sr. During this time, the 2yo suffered numerous injuries including a vast amount of burns. It was also revealed that the 2yo had not been given the proper hygiene care. Both Sauls and Sauls Sr. were arraigned and released on $3,000.00 unsecured bond. A 17yo female, that was also residing at the residence, was charged with Child Abuse 1st Degree for shoving the 2yo into a heater. She was arraigned and released on $3,900.00 unsecured bond.
