On April 21, 2016 the Milford Police arrested and charged a 28yo Milford man stemming from a domestic incident that occurred on the afternoon of April 20, 2016, at a residence located in the 700 block of S. Dupont Hwy. Jason D. Dailey was charged with Strangulation, Harassment and Offensive Touching. According to police, investigation revealed that Dailey was involved in a verbal dispute with the 30yo female victim. During the dispute, Dailey struck the female in the face and then placed his arms around her neck strangling the female victim. Dailey then stopped and the two left the residence together. A short time later, when the two returned to the residence, they were involved in another verbal dispute. During this time, Dailey punched the female victim in the face and slammed her head against the wall. The female victim then fled the residence. Dailey attempted to call and send text messages numerous times to the female victim after the incident. On April 21, 2016 at approx. 4:42 pm the Milford Police responded to the same residence in order to take Dailey into custody on arrest warrants for the incidents. Upon arriving, Milford Police were able to confirm that Dailey was inside the residence but discovered that he had locked himself inside and refused to come out. The Milford Police Special Operation Group (S.O.G/ Tactical Team) then responded to the residence and established contact with Dailey. After a brief standoff, Dailey exited the residence and surrendered to officers. Dailey was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest. Dailey was later arraigned and committed to SCI in default of a secured bond.
