On April 13, 2016 the Milford Police arrested and charged a 15yo male juvenile stemming from a weapons offense that occurred in the area of S. Washington St and SE Front St. The male juvenile was charged with Possession of a Firearm by Prohibited Juvenile, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon a Firearm, Receiving a Stolen Firearm and Criminal Impersonation (2 counts). On the afternoon of April 13, 2016 the Milford Police responded to the area after receiving a report of school age children riding bikes and not being in school during school hours. Upon arriving in the area, Milford Police made contact with the 15yo male juvenile and a 18yo male. Police state that further investigation revealed that the 15yo male juvenile provided a false name to officers and also was in possession of a fully loaded firearm in his waistband. The firearm had been reported as being stolen. In addition, the male juvenile was also in possession of 3 fully loaded handgun magazines. The male juvenile also had active capiases out of both Kent and Sussex County Family Courts. The male juvenile was later arraigned and committed to The Stevenson House Detention Center in default of $4,500.00 secured bond.
