On April 27, 2016, at approx. 12:08 am, the Milford Police K9 Division arrested and charged a 21yo Lincoln man following a traffic stop in the 900 block of N. Walnut St. Kavoun N. Cannon was charged with Possession with the Intent to Deliver Marijuana, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Criminal Impersonation and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. An officer from the Milford Police K9 Division performed a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing a traffic violation. According to police, investigation revealed that Cannon had initially provided the Milford Police K9 officer with a false name. Police state that further investigation revealed that Cannon was in possession of a fully loaded handgun. The Milford Police K9 officer utilized the canine to perform a “sniff” of the vehicle which resulted in a positive alert. It was later confirmed that Cannon was in possession of over 13 grams of Marijuana. Cannon was also wanted out of both Kent and Sussex County CCPs. Cannon was arraigned and committed to SCI in default of $35,000.00 secured bond.
