Charged after trying to run over Grotto Pizza employee

On July 12, 2016, the Milford Police arrested and charged a 52yo Lincoln man stemming from an incident that occurred on the night of 5/27/16 at Grotto’s Pizza Restaurant located in the 100 block of Silicato Way. Jeffrey L. Hatch was charged with Aggravated Menacing, Reckless Endangering 2nd Degree, Theft of Services Under $1000, Offensive Touching and multiple traffic offenses. According to police, investigation revealed that on the night of May 25, 2017, Hatch was at Grotto’s Pizza Restaurant. While there, Hatch consumed food and beverages but refused to pay for the items he consumed. Instead, he removed more items that he hadn’t consumed, placed them in a carry-out box and left out of the restaurant. An employee followed Hatch outside into the parking lot as Hatch got into his vehicle. As the employee stood near the front of Hatch’s vehicle, making contact with him about his unpaid bill, Hatch began inching his vehicle forward into the employee’s legs. The employee then jumped out of the way of Hatch’s vehicle as he suddenly sped forward at a high rate of speed leaving the area. Hatch was arraigned and released on $2,601.00 unsecured bond.
