B&G Club Showcases Future Super Savers

The Teen Titan program of the Milford Boys and Girls Club, wrapped up their summer program with an opportunity to develop money saving skills that will empower their future financial success. Led by Ms. Marla Smith, Teen Service Director at the Milford Boys and Girls Club, teens enjoyed a day learning about financial literacy with the 2015 United States Air Force Credit Union of the year – Dover Federal Credit Union. Participants started the day with an interactive presentation, followed by group work and educational games. Dover Federal team members led games which tasked the Super Savers with budgeting for all of life’s unexpected turns. Through the game, the Teen Titans began to realize the importance of financial discipline. After lunch, the teens got to tour the Milford Branch of Dover Federal, and experienced real life scenarios of how to make a deposit/withdrawal/open an account/apply for a loan as well as how to access an account online.

Dover Federal Credit Union is the largest credit union in the state of Delaware, with a membership of over 45,000. Recently named the 2015 U.S. Air Force Credit Union of the Year, Dover Federal has offices in Smyrna, New Castle, Milford, and Dover, including one at Dover Air Force Base.
