Fall Clean Up Week Scheduled

ffReleased by the City of Milford

The City of Milford is pleased to offer additional bulk and yard waste collection at no additional charge to its customers the week of October 10 through October 14.

During this week, customers may place additional items for disposal alongside their City containers on their regularly scheduled trash and yard waste collection day and do not need to call for a bulk pick up.

In order for the City of Milford to provide this free service to its customers, the following guidelines must be adhered to:

• Additional bulk items for disposal must be placed beside the city container on the customer’s regular trash collection day and placed curbside by 7:00 am. Personal containers will not be collected. Some bulk items, such as appliances, will be picked up separately.

• Additional yard waste for disposal must be placed beside the city container on the customer’s regular yard waste collection day (see schedule below) and placed curbside by 7:00 am. Customers are permitted a maximum of three (3) bundles of branches. Branches must be three (3) inches in diameter or smaller, cut to a length of 4 feet or less and must be tied securely into bundles. Bagged yard waste will not be collected.

Yard Waste Collection Schedule:
Gold Route/Monday trash customers – Wednesday, October 12
Maroon Route/Tuesday & Friday trash customers – Wednesday, October 19

Commercial trash, construction debris and hazardous materials will not be accepted. Collections will only be covered once. A return trip will not be made on alternate days during the week.

The City appreciates everyone’s cooperation during this project. For more information, please call the Customer Service Department at 302-422-6616.
